As I had the day off - decided to sail from aberystwyth for a change instead of travelling to Borth. Met up with Bongo at the boatshed and decided to be ambitious and rig a 6.5 whilst Bongo set up his 5.5.
Ater spending ages rigging up the sails, finally got onto the water at 3ish. Soon as I set of the wind had died and there was barely enough to atually move as I was in the shelter behind the lighthouse groyne.
As I got further out, the wind started to fill in but it was hardwork trying to balance in the wavy conditions. Eventually turned round and headed back but it was too hard to get the harness into its straps as the wind was so inconsistnt which was a pain in the arse.
After a few runs came in, had a rest then went out as the wind had picked up. Got a few runs in and managed to get onto the plane on the way back in.
The wind then died again so decided to call it a day.

Carried Bongos gear back to the boat house and dropped of our harnesses. Then went back for mine. Just as I was about to pack up, the wind filled in again so had another blast without the harness which was pretty tiring on the arms, had a few runs and then gave Bongo a go. He had a few runs and then came back in as the wind was totally dead.
All in all was a semi decent session, the wind was too inconsistent and kept switching direction which mayb down to the surrounding thunderclouds developing which would be sucking the air from all directions. Was good to get onto the water again for the first time this year. Planning to get a session in on Thursday and Friday afternoon if theres enough wind!!
